Former member of the National Assembly, Honourable Bitrus Kaze, has extended heartfelt congratulations to Professor Nentawe Yilwatda on his emergence as the new National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Kaze, who represented the Jos South/Jos East Federal Constituency from 2007 to 2015, described the appointment as a proud moment for Plateau State and a reflection of Yilwatda’s exceptional contributions to public service.

“This is a massive vote of confidence and national acclaim,” Kaze stated. “Professor Yilwatda’s meteoric rise to the national stage in such a short span of time is not surprising, given his outstanding performance as a Federal Cabinet member. He has consistently brought his wealth of experience as a technocrat, erudite scholar, and patriotic administrator to every position he has held.”

The former lawmaker praised Yilwatda’s leadership style and integrity, calling him “a man with clear vision” who has “justified the confidence reposed in him” and “vindicated those who have repeatedly testified to his credibility.”

Kaze also used the opportunity to call on all citizens of Plateau State—regardless of ethnicity, religion, or political affiliation—to rally behind Yilwatda.

“I urge all Plateau patriots to offer maximum support, constructive advice, and ideas that will add value. One of our own has been entrusted with this enormous task, and it is our collective duty to see him succeed,” he said.

Expressing gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other APC stakeholders, Kaze added: “We thank Mr. President and the national leadership of our party for finding a son of Plateau worthy of their confidence. By the special grace of God, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda will succeed.”
