The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) has urged residents of Lagos to prioritise safety during the Easter period, warning of increased risks on roads, at public gatherings and from fire outbreaks.

Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, through the agency, called on Lagosians to remain vigilant and take precautionary measures as movement and social activities typically rise during the holiday.

Permanent Secretary of LASEMA, Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, said emergency responders across the state had been placed on full alert to ensure rapid response to incidents.

“Residents are advised to exercise caution, particularly on the roads and in crowded places, while also taking steps to prevent fire outbreaks,” he said.

He added that the agency, in collaboration with other emergency services, had strengthened preparedness measures and response coordination across the state.

Authorities encouraged the public to promptly report emergencies through the state’s toll-free lines, 112 and 767.

The governor extended goodwill wishes to residents, expressing hope for a safe and incident-free Easter celebration.
