Breaking: Property worth millions of Naira lost as fire guts Mandilas building, Lagos

Mandilas Building, located on Broad Street, Lagos Island, is on fire.

The inferno has caused extensive damage to items and properties valued at several millions of Naira.

Emergency services, including the state Fire and Rescue Service, Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), and the Police, swiftly mobilized to the scene in a race against time to extinguish the raging inferno.

Margaret Adeseye, Director of Lagos Fire and Rescue Service, revealed that the firestorm originated on the first floor and quickly spread to the fourth floor. Firefighters from Ebute Elefun and Sari Iganmu stations were promptly dispatched to tackle the escalating situation.

The cause of the fire remains unknown, but Adeseye assured that no casualties have been reported.

First responders are actively engaging the fire from multiple angles, working tirelessly to contain the blaze. The fire, first reported on the first floor, has now reached the fourth floor, according to the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service as reported by Channels Television.
