NPFL Matchday 26 Roundup and Results

It was a thrilling encounter in the south West Derby as Christian Pyagbara’s brace secured Shooting Stars first ever win over Remo Stars in the Nigeria premier football league (NPFL) at the Lekan Salami stadium, Ibadan on Sunday.

The result moved the Oluyole warriors to sixth on the log, two points behind Remo who are stuck on fifth with 42 points.

In Yenagoa, The duo of Emo James and Elvis Ori were on target for Bayelsa as they came from a goal down to beat a much experienced Kano Pillars side.

Lagos based side Sporting Lagos edged out Kwara United 2-0 at the Onikan Stadium to move up to 11th position in the table.

Bendel Insurance were the biggest winners of the Matchday as they thrashed struggling Doma United 4-0 in Benin while Lobi Stars maintained top position despite a slim 2-1 defeat to Rangers in Enugu.
