1 Mins read

As Muslims worldwide prepare to celebrate Eid-ul-Fitri, marking the end of Ramadan, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Lagos State Command, has activated a comprehensive security plan. Under the leadership of Mr. Adedotun Keshinro, the Lagos State Commandant, two thousand (2,000) officers and men have been deployed to ensure the safety and security of lives and property during this festive period.

The deployment follows the declaration of Tuesday, 9th, and Wednesday, 10th April, 2024, as public holidays by the Federal Government to observe Eid-ul-Fitri. Personnel have been strategically drawn from various Departments, Units, Divisions, and Area Commands across the state to safeguard critical national assets and infrastructure, praying grounds, recreational parks/centers, and other strategic facilities.

Commandant Adedotun Keshinro extends warm wishes to Muslim faithfuls and emphasizes the importance of peace, love, and unity among all citizens. He reaffirms the Command’s unwavering commitment to the protection and security of lives and property in Lagos State.

In a stern warning to criminal elements, particularly vandals, Commandant Keshinro urges them to refrain from acts of economic sabotage. Those engaging in criminal activities will face the full force of the law.

During the holidays, NSCDC personnel will maintain vigilance and dedication to their core mandates and statutory functions, ensuring a smooth and peaceful celebration for all residents of Lagos State.
