HANDBALL; Tojemarine victorious in Lagos Derby

Tojemarine Academy won the battle of Lagos on Tuesday as they defeated city rival Lagos Seasider Boys on day 2 of the first phase of the Ardova Handball Premier League 2024 in Benin City, Edo State.

It was a thrilling encounter as Tojemarine Academy tutored by Coach Shittu Adewunmi Agboola, defeated the Seasider Boys 33-26 to continue their push for a first league title.

In other matches in the Men category, Safety Shooters are the leading the league table for the second straight day following their comfortable 35-17 victory over Adamawa Warriors while Correction Boys kept Sunshine Kings in check with a easy 33-23 win.

In the women category, the Seasider Babes of Lagos will continue their lead on the Ardova Handball Premier League 2024 log following their inspiring 38-30 victory over Rivers Queens while Rima Queens defeat former champion Plateau Peacocks 22-20

Defender Babes, shrugged off their day 1 loss as they bounced back to dealt with COAS Babes with a 44-22 victory while Imo Grasshoppers continued in their winning ways as they earned a 35-27 victory over Delta Queens.

Meanwhile, Defending champion Safety Babes are still unbeaten since 2022 following their massive 41-18 victory over host, Bendel Dynamos.

1) Rivers Queens–Seasider Babes  30–38.

2) Rima Queens–Plateau Peacocks  22–20.
