Everton have officially signed Super Falcons forward Toni Payne, adding significant strength to their attacking lineup for the upcoming season.

Payne, 29, joins Everton on a free transfer after a six-year stint with Spanish Iberdrola side Sevilla. She is set to make her mark in the Women’s Super League (WSL) and aid Everton’s title aspirations in the 2024/25 season.

“I’m super excited to be an Everton player. It’s been my dream to play in the UK and in such a strong league like the WSL. I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to play at a club like Everton with so much history in football,” Payne said.

In addition to her club commitment, Payne has been named to the Nigeria squad for the Paris 2024 Olympics, where they will face reigning world champions Spain, Japan, and Brazil.
