Lagos State Kicks Off Computer-Based Test for Graduate Internship Placement Programme

The Lagos State Ministry of Wealth Creation and Employment has begun the Computer-Based Test (CBT) for post-NYSC graduates interested in the Graduate Internship Placement Programme (GIPP). This paid internship aims to equip graduates with essential skills and work experience.

Speaking at the event, held at the JKK Centre on Ikorodu Road, the Commissioner for Wealth Creation and Employment, Hon. Akinyemi Ajigbotafe, stated, “This programme is designed to provide the selected individuals with an opportunity to expand their knowledge, create benefits from invaluable job experience, and build valuable networks while gaining practical, technical, and administrative industry experience.”

Ajigbotafe added that 3,000 graduates would be selected through the CBT assessment, followed by a three-week intensive employability training with globally accepted certifications. Successful candidates will then embark on a three-month internship, earning a monthly stipend of ₦60,000 from the Lagos State Government.

He urged the graduates to seize the opportunity, saying, “Gather enough experience that would give you an edge either in securing paid employment or as independent entrepreneurs.” He also reaffirmed the commitment of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s administration to addressing unemployment in the state.
