APC Leaders in Okitipupa Declare Full Support for Aiyedatiwa Ahead of Ondo Governorship Election

Leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Okitipupa Local Government Area have declared their unwavering support and expressed confidence in Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa’s ability to secure victory, ahead of the November 16 governorship election in Ondo State. 

The declaration was made during the Okitipupa APC Stakeholders meeting held at the local government secretariat on Sunday, party leaders emphasized Governor Aiyedatiwa’s role as the best option for the state’s future. The meeting also witnessed a significant boost for the APC as prominent members of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Okitipupa defected to the ruling party, pledging their loyalty to the governor.

Governor Aiyedatiwa welcomed the new members, highlighting the importance of unity in the upcoming election. “This is a clear indication that our message of progress and development is resonating with the people. Together, we will continue to build on the foundation we have laid and take Ondo State to greater heights,” the governor stated.

Niyi Adebusoye, speaking on behalf of the defectors, praised Governor Aiyedatiwa’s administration, saying, “We have seen the tremendous impact of Governor Aiyedatiwa’s administration in Okitipupa and across Ondo State. His commitment to the development of our communities and the welfare of our people has convinced us that the APC is the right platform to achieve our goals.”

Pastor Femi Agagu, a former Commissioner for Education, Science, and Technology, and APC chieftain, described the defections as a major boost to the party’s campaign, promising a resounding victory in Okitipupa. Segun Ayerin, the Commissioner for Commerce and Cooperative Services, echoed this sentiment, assuring that the entirety of Okitipupa is firmly behind the governor.
