Governor Aiyedatiwa Congratulates APC on Edo Governorship Election Victory

Ondo State Governor, Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has extended his heartfelt congratulations to the All Progressives Congress (APC) for its hard-fought yet well-deserved victory in Saturday’s governorship election in Edo State. He also praised the party’s governorship candidate, Monday Okpebholo, and his running mate, Dennis Idahosa, on their election as governor-elect and deputy governor-elect of Edo State.

As the Chairman of the Election Planning and Strategy Committee for the APC in the Edo election, Governor Aiyedatiwa expressed gratitude to the people of Edo State for placing their trust in the APC to lead the state. 

“I want to congratulate our party, the APC, Senator Okpebholo, and Hon. Idahosa on the well-deserved victory in the just concluded governorship election in Edo State,” Aiyedatiwa stated.

He continued, “I join millions of our party faithful to give glory to God for granting us a peaceful victory to reclaim Edo back into the fold of the progressives where it clearly belongs.”

The Governor thanked President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his exemplary leadership, which he credited for facilitating a free, fair, and peaceful election in Edo, and congratulated him on the party’s success in the contest.

“I commend our party’s leadership headed by the National Chairman, Alhaji Abdullahi Ganduje, as well as the national and state campaign committees for their efforts in achieving this much-needed victory,” he said.

Aiyedatiwa praised the peaceful conduct of Edo residents before, during, and after the election, expressing confidence in Senator Okpebholo’s vision to transform governance in the state through progressive policies and programs that will positively impact the lives of the people of Edo.

“I believe that under Senator Okpebholo’s leadership, we will see meaningful changes that reflect the aspirations of the citizens,” he concluded.
