Ondo State Mourns the Passing of Temitayo Oluwatuyi, Secretary to the State Government

The Government of Ondo State has announced with deep sorrow the death of Hon. Temitayo Oluwatuyi, the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), who passed away on January 4, 2025.

Hon. Oluwatuyi succumbed to injuries sustained in a car accident on December 15, 2024, while traveling to Ibadan. He had been hospitalized since the incident.

Described as a tireless and dedicated public servant, Hon. Oluwatuyi’s tenure was marked by a profound impact on administrative coordination, policy formulation, and the implementation of developmental projects in Ondo State.

In a statement released by the state government, Governor Rotimi Akeredolu expressed grief, stating, “Hon. Oluwatuyi was a pillar of excellence and a committed team player who gave his all for the progress of Ondo State. His departure is a monumental loss, not just to his family but to the entire state.”

Hon. Oluwatuyi’s career spanned decades of service, including roles as Chairman of Akure South Local Government, Commissioner, and two separate terms as Secretary to the State Government. His contributions have been hailed as instrumental in the growth and stability of the state’s administration.

A family representative, speaking on the loss, shared, “Temitayo was not just a leader but a mentor to many. His legacy of service will inspire generations to come.”

The government extended its heartfelt condolences to the Oluwatuyi family, friends, and associates, pledging to honor his memory appropriately.
