Ondo State Governor, Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has reiterated his administration’s commitment to swift and effective governance, declaring that his team is in a hurry to fulfill promises made to the people.
Speaking at the swearing-in ceremony of newly appointed and reappointed members of the State Executive Council on Thursday, Governor Aiyedatiwa charged the officials to hit the ground running and deliver tangible results.
“We demand excellent performance from all appointees, for that is the primary reason we were voted into office by the good people of Ondo State,” the governor stated.

Among those inaugurated was Dr Taiwo Fasoranti as Secretary to the State Government, Dr Olukayode Ajulo, SAN, as Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, and Mrs Omowumi Isaac as Commissioner for Finance. Others include Engr. Johnson Alabi (Special Adviser on Power), Dr Seun Osamaye (Special Adviser on Women Affairs), Comrade Bola Taiwo (Special Adviser on Union Matters and Special Duties), Prof. Simidele Odimayo (Special Adviser on Health), and Engr. Abiola Olawoye (Special Adviser on Infrastructure, Lands, and Housing).
Governor Aiyedatiwa emphasized that his administration’s governance approach is based on speed and accuracy, urging the new officials to align with the state’s seven-point developmental agenda, “OUR EASE,” designed to accelerate growth.
To ensure accountability, the governor announced that performance evaluation techniques would be implemented, stressing that there would be zero tolerance for corruption, indolence, and disloyalty.
He also commended the Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Olamide Oladiji, and lawmakers for their prompt confirmation of the commissioners, describing it as a sign of their dedication to the state’s progress.
Responding on behalf of the appointees, the new SSG, Dr. Taiwo Fasoranti, expressed gratitude to the governor for entrusting them with the responsibility.
“We assure Your Excellency and the people of Ondo State that we will work tirelessly to support the administration’s vision and deliver impactful governance,” Fasoranti pledged.
The event had in attendance key government officials, including Deputy Governor Dr. Olayide Adelami, Chief of Staff Prince Segun Omojuwa, Head of Service Mr. Bayo Philip, and other dignitaries.
