The Aare Musulumi of Yoruba Land, Edo, and Delta States, Alhaji Dawud Makanjuola Akinola (De-Damak), has extended warm congratulations to the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. ‘Seyi Makinde, and his wife, Mrs. Tamunominini Makinde, on their recent installation as Aare Omoluabi and Yeye Aare Omoluabi of Akure Kingdom.

The chieftaincy titles, conferred by the Deji of Akure Kingdom, Oba (Dr.) Aladetoyinbo Ogunlade Aladelusi, are in recognition of the couple’s exemplary commitment to service, leadership, and the values deeply rooted in Yoruba heritage.

In a statement released by his Special Assistant on Media and Communications, Faysol Oluwakemi, Alhaji Akinola described the honour as “fitting and timely.”

“Governor Makinde and his wife continue to stand out, not just in political leadership, but in the way they carry themselves with dignity, humility, and a deep sense of responsibility to others,” the Aare Musulumi said.

He praised Governor Makinde for his vision and compassion as a public servant, and commended Mrs. Makinde for her tireless humanitarian efforts and steadfast support of her husband’s leadership.

“His Excellency has distinguished himself as a leader of the people, and Mrs. Makinde complements this by impacting lives across communities in her own right,” he added.

Alhaji Akinola prayed for continued wisdom, strength, and divine grace for the couple as they embrace their new traditional titles in the Akure Kingdom.

>L“May the Almighty bless them with more strength to serve, more wisdom to lead, and more grace to carry this new honour with pride and humility,” he said.
