The Bank of Industry (BOI) has called on Nigerian businesses with strong local content to expand their horizons beyond Nigeria. This appeal was made by the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of BOI, Dr. Olasupo Olusi, during his visit to the Imose Technologies assembly factory in Lekki, Lagos.

Speaking at the visit, Olusi lauded Imose Technologies for its impressive achievements in producing the Imose Zedon X-Pro laptops, mobile phones, and tablets locally. He encouraged the company to explore opportunities within the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) and compete on a global scale.

“I am greatly impressed with the success story of Imose Technologies. In addition to your impressive achievements, I encourage you to start thinking globally. The African continent offers immense opportunities, and with the AfCFTA, the time is ripe for expansion into the African market. Competing on a global scale is the next frontier, and I believe your cost of production positions you uniquely to excel,” said Olusi.

He further assured Imose Technologies of BOI’s ongoing support in developing its value chain, emphasizing its importance for economic growth and job creation in Nigeria. “BOI is committed to standing side by side with you to ensure that your value chain develops further. Through this development, we can contribute to your growth and the creation of jobs in this country,” he added.

Echoing Olusi’s sentiments, the Executive Director of Small and Medium Enterprises at BOI, Mr. Shekarau Omar, praised Imose Technologies for its ambition and success.

In response, the Chairman and Founder of Imose Technologies, Mr. Osayi Izedonmwen, expressed gratitude for BOI’s support. “Our vision is to become a leading company in the telecoms industry. We started this business from our own funds and bootstrapped it for several years until it became a multi-billion-naira business. BOI’s support has been instrumental in our growth,” Izedonmwen stated.
