In a major confrontation with Boko Haram in the Lake Chad region, the Chadian Defense and Security Forces (CDSF) announced the elimination of 96 militants, though the encounter came at a significant cost as 15 of its personnel were killed.
Chadian Army spokesperson, General Issakha Acheikh, detailed the operation in a statement on November 10. “Our forces bravely faced a fierce battle, managing to neutralize 96 Boko Haram elements, while 11 others sustained injuries,” Acheikh reported.
During the operation, CDSF recovered 107 individual weapons, three collective weapons, and destroyed six canoes used by the terrorists.
