From the bustling streets of Lagos to remote corners of the country, Nigerians are embracing a new digital partner in their everyday hustle: Meta AI. Meta’s latest campaign, Make Am with Meta AI, highlights how its free AI assistant, available on WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, and Messenger, is quietly revolutionizing the way Nigerians learn, create, and solve problems.
In a country where the phrase “I dey make am” symbolizes resilience, grit, and creativity, Meta is tapping into this spirit to show how AI can be a practical tool for students, creators, and small business owners alike.
“After over 13 years of creating on my own, it’s refreshing to now have Meta AI—my tireless creative partner that’s always ready to support and elevate my vision, anytime inspiration strikes,” said Tomike Adeoye, a well-known lifestyle content creator.
The campaign is not just about awareness; it’s about usability. Whether you’re planning your next Instagram post, searching for recipe ideas, or asking for advice on baby care, Meta AI is built to be intuitive and accessible, with just a tap or a mention like @Meta AI.
“Sometimes, I’m not 100% sure of a fact I want to speak about before recording my video, so I ask Meta AI,” said Nancy Umeh, who shares family and wellness content. “The other day, I shared a baby weaning recipe that included onions. I wasn’t sure it was safe for babies at 6 months, so I asked Meta AI, and it assured me it was, citing several academic sources.”
Meta AI is redefining everyday convenience. With features like Search, Imagine, and Invoke, the AI assistant helps users generate content, verify facts, create visuals, and even settle debates in group chats.
For food content creator Ify’s Kitchen, Meta AI has brought renewed creativity into cooking.
“At Ify’s Kitchen, we’ve always believed in making cooking simple, fun, and accessible,” she said. “Using Meta AI takes that vision even further, helping us rediscover the joy of wholesome cooking and staying connected to our rich food culture in exciting new ways.”
Meta says its vision for the campaign is rooted in making advanced technology feel local and relatable.
“For many Nigerians, access to education and resources is a significant challenge. But with Meta AI, those barriers are being broken down,” said Balkissa Ide Siddo, Public Policy Director for Sub-Saharan Africa at Meta. “Students can get help with homework, entrepreneurs can learn new skills, and artists can find inspiration. Meta AI is the bridge that connects Nigerians to new possibilities.”
The campaign underscores that Meta AI is not here to replace creativity, but to amplify it—especially in a country that’s become a global hub for music, film, tech, and digital content.
“Nigeria is a creative capital and cultural powerhouse,” the release stated. “At its core, Make Am with Meta AI is about possibility, a reminder that you don’t need perfect conditions to begin. All it takes is curiosity, a bit of hustle and a tool that’s ready when you are.”
