NSCDC Lagos Thanks State Govt, Security Trust Fund, for 4 Motorbikes, Vows Efficiency

The Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Lagos Command, Mr. Adedotun Sunday Keshinro, expressed gratitude towards the Lagos State government and the Lagos State Security Trust Fund for donating four motorbikes to enhance operational efficiency within the command.

In a statement released by Oluwaseun Abolurin, Civil Defence PRO for the Lagos State Command, it was revealed that the four motorbikes were officially handed over to Mr. Keshinro on March 14th by Mr. Degbola Lewis, Director of Administration at LSSTF, acting on behalf of Dr. Abdulrazaq Balogun, the Chief Executive Officer/Executive Secretary of the Fund.

Keshinro emphasized the commitment of the command to deploy the motorbikes in line with the recent directive from the Commandant General, aimed at ensuring strict adherence to the Corps’ mandates for optimal results.

Moreover, the statement highlighted the gesture as a testament to LSSTF’s ongoing support in empowering security agencies to fulfill their statutory obligations in combating insecurity across the state. Similar donations were also made to the Nigerian Airforce and the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) during the presentation ceremony held at the LSSTF complex.

Keshinro seized the opportunity to express appreciation to the Lagos State government, led by His Excellency, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, as well as the Board of Trustees and Management of LSSTF, for their unwavering support towards the command.

He further pledged to ensure the strategic deployment of the motorbikes to address identified security challenges in various flashpoints, black spots, and locations across the state, thereby reinforcing safety and security efforts.

Highlighting the critical importance of response time in crime prevention, Keshinro emphasized the role of the motorbikes in enhancing the command’s ability to respond swiftly to emerging security threats, ultimately contributing to a safer environment for all residents of Lagos State.
