The National Social Investment Programme Agency (NSIPA) has taken a major step toward enhancing operational efficiency by organizing a one-day sensitization training on the Electronic Documents Management System (EDMS). The training, which targeted selected staff members, is expected to be expanded to all agency personnel.
Speaking at the opening of the session, NSIPA’s Head of Planning, Research, and Statistics, Dr. Binta Musa Ibrahim, emphasized the agency’s commitment to leveraging technology for improved service delivery.
“As we continue to strive for excellence in our service delivery, we must harness the power of technology to streamline our documentation processes,” she stated.
The EDMS is designed to provide a secure, centralized, and user-friendly platform for document management, reducing paperwork and improving collaboration among staff. Dr. Binta urged participants to engage fully with the facilitators, as the knowledge gained would be crucial in ensuring the system’s effectiveness.
“They will guide and equip you with the skills and knowledge necessary to effectively utilize this system,” she said. “I encourage you to participate actively, ask questions, and share your experiences. Your commitment to mastering the EDMS is key to its successful implementation.”
Dr. Binta also expressed appreciation to NSIPA’s National Coordinator and CEO, Associate Professor Badamasi Lawal, PhD, for approving the training and recognizing its significance in enhancing service delivery.
With the pilot phase now completed, NSIPA plans to roll out the EDMS training across the agency, ensuring that all staff are equipped to transition into a more efficient and transparent document management system.
