Ondo State Governor Reaffirms Commitment to Enhancing Power Supply During Ore Power Plant Inspection

Ondo State Governor, Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to improving power supply across the state. During an inspection visit to the 30MW Power Plant in Ore, Odigbo Local Government Area, the Governor expressed his determination to ensure that the facility, which has been underutilized since its completion in 2012, becomes fully operational.

Speaking during the visit, Governor Aiyedatiwa said, “This power plant is crucial to the development of our southern senatorial district and the Ore industrial park. We are committed to seeing that it fulfills its intended purpose.”

Engr. Ayodele Ikumapayi, the project consultant, who conducted the Governor around the facility, provided updates on the current status of the plant. Governor Aiyedatiwa also directed that a comprehensive review of the project be conducted, stating, “It is essential that we assess the work done so far and take the necessary steps to resume operations and deliver power to our people.”
