The national president of the Petroleum Products Retail Outlets Owners Association of Nigeria (PETROAN), Billy Gillis-Harry, on Wednesday called on members of the association to embrace unity, innovation and collaboration as the country’s petroleum retail sector enters the new year.

In a New Year message to members, partners and stakeholders, Gillis-Harry said 2025 had been a year of challenges and milestones for the association, noting that collective resilience had helped strengthen PETROAN’s role in Nigeria’s downstream petroleum industry.

“As we bid farewell to 2025 and welcome the dawn of 2026, I extend my heartfelt gratitude to each of you for your unwavering commitment, resilience and dedication to the vision of PETROAN,” he said.

The PETROAN president said the new year presents opportunities to drive sustainable growth and raise standards across the petroleum retail value chain, adding that unity of purpose would be key to achieving those goals.

“The New Year presents us with fresh opportunities to innovate, collaborate and drive sustainable growth in the petroleum industry,” Gillis-Harry said. “With unity of purpose and shared determination, PETROAN will continue to thrive and set new standards of excellence in service delivery, advocacy and industry leadership.”

He expressed optimism that 2026 would bring prosperity and stability to members and their families, urging them to approach the year with renewed energy and confidence in the association’s future.

“Let us step forward with renewed energy, optimism and a steadfast belief in the brighter future we are building together,” Gillis-Harry said.

PETROAN represents thousands of petroleum retail outlet owners across Nigeria and plays a key advocacy role in the downstream oil and gas sector.
