Port Police CP, Maikaba, Commends MARAN for Responsible Reportage

The Commissioner of Police, Ports Authority Police (Western) Command, CP Ibrahim Balarabe Maikaba has pledged the command’s support for the Maritime Reporters Association of Nigeria (MARAN) and the Godfrey Bivbere led executives of the association.

Maikaba made the pledge when the MARAN executives paid him a courtesy visit at the command in Lagos.

He also commended the oldest maritime journalists beat association for its responsible reportage of the maritime sector and activities of the police command.

“I appreciate the warm hands of fellowship extended to me, and pledge a cordial working relationship with the association,” he said.

Earlier, Bivbere that he and members of MARAN were at the command headquarters to familiarise themselves and show solidarity with the commissioner of police.

While assuring the CP of the association’s support, Bivbere pledged that achievements of the command would be given wide coverage as the command plays a pivotal role in securing the gateway for international trade and foreign exchange earnings for the country.
