Season Finale: Mbaoma secures Golden Boot, Four Teams Say Good bye

The battle for the Top scorer of the 2023/24 Nigeria Premier Football League season went down to the final day.

Enyimba’s Chijioke Mbaoma and Remo’s Sikiru Alimi went head to head with 16 and 15 goals respectively.

Mbaoma will claim the sum of N3.4 million after he added one more on the final match day to take his tally to 17goals in 34matches, while Sikiru failed to score to increase his tally.

Four teams were relegated this season, Sporting Lagos, Heartland, Doma United and Gombe United.

The four teams that gained promotion to replace the relegated teams are; Beyond Limits FC, Elkanemi Warriors, Ikorodu City, Nasarawa United.
