Super Falcons Remain Number One In Africa

The Super Falcons of Nigeria have retained their spot as the number one team in Africa according to the latest FIFA women’s ranking for this quarter.

Nigeria maintained its 36th position in the world and held on to its number one position on the continent.

Their rivals, Banyana Banyana of South Africa, who missed out on the Olympics after their defeat to Nigeria, are placed 51st in the world and second in Africa, While The Atlas Lionesses of Morocco are ranked third best in Africa and 56th in the world.

Zambia and Ghana complete the top five in Africa, ranked 64th and 65th in the world, respectively.

Meanwhile, the current World Cup holders, Spain, hold on to their number one position in the world.

The next FIFA women’s ranking is scheduled to be published on August 16, 2024.
