1 Mins read

Nigeria earned their first victory of the 26th Africa Men Handball Cup of Nations ongoing in Egypt following their resounding 32-23 victory over Kenya.

The Golden Arrows led by Coach Rafiu Salami, started the first half with a determined intention for victory and despite a late rally by Kenya, Nigeria won the first half 16-9.

The second half was the same with Nigeria doing everything they could to get a comfortable 32-23 victory over Kenya, after a disappointing start to the tournament losing to Angola and Tunisia respectively.

This impressive performance speaks to skills and determination of the coach and players to represent Nigeria with passion and commitment.

Nigeria will now play a placement match against Republic of Congo on Tuesday at 7pm.
