LASEMA, FMIL Forge Partnership to Boost Safety Along Red Metro Line

1 Mins read

In a bid to bolster safety measures and emergency preparedness along the Red Metro Line, the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) has joined forces with First Metro Infrastructure Limited (FMIL). Today marked a significant milestone as both entities inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to solidify their collaboration.

The Red Metro Line, spanning 37 kilometers from Agbado to Marina, falls under the operational purview of FMIL. This strategic partnership aims to streamline surveillance efforts, integrating them into LASEMA’s command and control center for swift responses to safety and security concerns. The initiative aligns closely with the THEMES+ agenda championed by the administration of Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwoolu.

Dr. Olufemi Damilola Oke-Osanyintolu, the esteemed Permanent Secretary/CEO of LASEMA, and Mr. Adedeji Adeyinka, Chief Operating Officer of FMIL, reaffirmed their shared dedication to leveraging resources, expertise, and knowledge. This collaborative endeavor underscores a collective commitment to safeguarding the lives and property of Lagos residents, particularly those residing along the Red Line Corridor.

Under the purview of this MOU, emphasis will be placed on training, skills transfer, and the implementation of early warning systems. Such proactive measures epitomize the essence of public-private partnerships, aimed at enhancing the overall well-being of the community.
