LASEMA Responds To Multiple Vehicle Collision Causing Major Traffic Disruption on Kara Bridge

A multiple accident has happened on Kara Bridge inward Arepo in Ogun State, Dr. Olufemi Damilola Oke-Osanyintolu the Permanent Secretary of the Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA)  has announced.

According to him, the incident type is a road traffic accident that happened at 8:14am.

Accoed to him, “A significant road traffic accident occurred this morning on Kara Bridge, involving a forty-foot containerized truck, a luxurious bus belonging to Sopuru Chukwu Motors (registration number KPP921ZW), a computer Hiace bus, and a commercial van.

“The incident has severely disrupted traffic, effectively shutting down 99% of the roadway and causing a substantial gridlock,” he explained.

Emergency responders are currently on the scene, working to recover the involved vehicles. The team is actively controlling traffic while awaiting heavy-duty equipment from the agency to remove the truck and other vehicles from the road. Casualties are being transported to nearby hospitals, and minor injuries are being treated on site according to Oke-Osanyintolu.
