1 Mins read

Barcelona youngster Lamine Yamal became the youngest goalscorer in European Championship history when Spain beat France 2-1 in a thrilling semifinal clash to reach the Euro 2024 final.

The 16-year-old teenage sensation has been the shining star for Spain in the tournament so far and further established himself by scoring a sublime goal for Spain in the first half, which served as an equalizer after Randal Kolo Muani headed in Kylian Mbappe’s cross to give France an early lead.

Yamal’s goal came in the 21st minute, and Spain took the lead just four minutes later when Dani Olmo’s shot was turned home by France defender Jules Kounde.

At 16 years and 362 days, who has scored a goal and three assists in the ongoing Euros will turn 17 on July 13, just one day before making history in the Euro final.

Spain deservedly made it to the finals, having been the best side at these Euros, winning all six of their games and scoring a tournament-high 13 goals.
