Ondo State Governor Mourns the Passing of Idanre Monarch, Oba Aroloye

The Governor of Ondo State, Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has expressed his condolences to the people of Idanre following the death of their monarch, Oba (Dr) Frederick Adegunle Aroloye, Arubiefin IV. Oba Aroloye, who became the Owa and Paramount Ruler of Idanre Kingdom in 1976, passed away on Wednesday at the age of 102.

Governor Aiyedatiwa described the monarch’s passing as a significant loss to the Idanre community, Ondo State, and Yorubaland. He praised Oba Aroloye’s nearly 50-year reign for its promotion of communal peace and stability and his dedication to traditional leadership.

In his condolence message, the Governor highlighted Oba Aroloye’s wisdom, leadership, and contributions to community development, saying they would be deeply missed. He extended his prayers to the royal family and the Idanre community, wishing for the late monarch’s soul to rest in perfect peace.
