Ondo State Governor Aiyedatiwa Reaffirms Inclusivity, Pledges Continued Support for Igbo Community

Ondo State Governor, Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has assured that the state remains a beacon of inclusivity, welcoming people from all ethnic backgrounds to live peacefully and pursue their businesses. “Ondo State is free from tribalism,” the Governor declared during a meeting with the Igbo community, led by Chief Gregory Iloeika, Eze Ndigbo of Akure/Ondo State, on Wednesday at the Cocoa Conference Hall in Akure.

Governor Aiyedatiwa emphasized the unity among Nigerians, saying, “Despite our differences in tribes and tongues, our shared identity as Nigerians binds us together. Unity and brotherhood should always prevail, transcending any cultural or linguistic barriers.”

Chief Gregory Iloeika expressed gratitude towards the Governor for appointing several Igbo representatives as Special Assistants, highlighting the administration’s commitment to inclusivity.

He praised the Governor for his dedication to the state’s development and for supporting the Igbo community, stating, “Your resilience and dedication in driving the state’s development have not gone unnoticed.”

Addressing speculations about the community’s loyalty, Chief Iloeika reassured, “Ndigbo remain unwavering in their support for your administration, and we are prepared to play an active role in the upcoming governorship election.”
