Nigerian Afro Pop singer and songwriter Yemi Alade lights up the stage with a beautiful performance at the opening ceremony of the 2023 Africa cup of nations in Cote d’ivoire.
It was a bright and colorful atmosphere as Africans cheered on with blasting sound as the stadium came alive with the melodious sound of “Akwaba” the official theme song.
The 34yr old R & B and Highlife singer featured on the official theme song of the tournament alongside Ivorian star band Magic system and Egyptian singer Mohammed Ramadan.
Host country Ivory Coast will slug it out with Guinea Bissau in the opener, the winner will top Group A that has got Nigeria and Equatorial Guinea.
