Lagos State House of Assembly Guarded by Armed Policemen

To prevent any breakdown of law and order, following the impeachment of the speaker of the House of Assembly, the Lagos State Police Command has swiftly responded by deploying its officers to the troubled Lagos State Assembly complex to prevent any disruption.

Already, some of the impeached speaker’s supporters, who reportedly came from Agege to prevent the impeachment from taking place, have been arrested by security agencies.

Meanwhile, it was gathered that the embattled speaker, Mudashiru Obasa, was on vacation in Atlanta, Georgia, United States, when the impeachment was carried out.

Recall that there have been disagreements between the former speaker and the state governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, over some political issues in the state.
