Car Crash at Isolo Under Bridge, Oshodi Claims 1

A devastating road accident occurred at Isolo Under Bridge, inward Oshodi, resulting in the loss of one life and leaving another person critically injured.

According to eyewitnesses, a Kia car with registration number KWL-475CZ collided with a stationary 20-foot containerized truck on the highway while traveling at a high speed. The impact of the crash led to the tragic death of a female passenger in the car, while the driver sustained severe injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Emergency responders from the Agency’s Cappa unit, LASTMA, and the Nigeria Police quickly arrived at the scene to extract the trapped person from the wreckage. With the aid of light rescue equipment, the victim was successfully extricated and handed over to SEHMU for transportation to the morgue.

The accidented vehicle has been recovered and relocated to Olosan Police Station, while efforts are underway to recover the abandoned containerized truck from the road using heavy-duty equipment, including a crane and lowbed. The operation is currently ongoing.

This incident serves as a stark reminder of the importance of road safety and the need for caution while driving. Our thoughts are with the families of the victims and we wish the injured driver a speedy recovery.
