In a grand ceremony at the Shehu Musa Yar’adua Centre, Abuja, the Institute of Security and Strategic Studies (ISSS) inducted new members and honoured distinguished personalities in a prestigious Investiture, Awards, and Induction ceremony. Among the inductees were Assistant Commandant General (Rtd.) David Bille, former Commandant of the NSCDC Command and Staff College, Lamingo, Jos; Superintendent of Corps Luqman Buraimoh, Personal Assistant to the Head of Insurance Unit, NSCDC; and Oluwaseun Abolurin, Civil Defence Public Relations Officer, Lagos State Command.
The ceremony drew an impressive lineup of dignitaries, including Major General Garba Audi (Rtd.), Chairman of the ISSS Governing Council; General Christopher Musa, OFR, Chief of Defence Staff of the Nigerian Armed Forces (represented); and Senator David Umahi, Minister of Works, who received the Outstanding Minister of the Year Award. Other notable figures included Honourable Justice Edward Amoako Asante, former President of the Community Court of Justice ECOWAS (represented), and General Johnson A.O Ochoga (Rtd.), among others.

In his remarks, Major General Audi commended the inductees and awardees, emphasizing their vital contributions to national security and governance.
“This event is a testament to the resilience, professionalism, and dedication of individuals who have shaped and continue to shape the security landscape in Nigeria,” said Audi.
The management of ISSS congratulated the participants who completed advanced courses in Intelligence Analysis and Security Risk Operations Management. They also celebrated the fellowship awardees and inductees for their remarkable strides in security and strategic leadership.
Oluwaseun Abolurin expressed his gratitude, stating, “This recognition inspires me to further contribute to safeguarding our society. It’s a proud moment for us all.”
