A fire incident at the Household of David Church, situated on Surulere Industrial Road, off Adeniyi Jones in Ikeja, Lagos, has been effectively extinguished by emergency responders.

The fire, which began around 12:11 a.m. at the rear end of the church, went unnoticed by church staff but was brought to their attention by passersby. Fortunately, no injuries or casualties were reported.

The church had scheduled a 5-day crusade, commencing this evening at 5:00 p.m. and concluding on February 4, 2024. The property, leased and insured by the church, was undergoing preparations for the event.

In anticipation of a large turnout for the crusade, church workers had received training from the Fire Service to handle potential emergencies.

Emergency response agencies present at the scene included NEMA, Lagos State Building Control Agency, Lagos Emergency Management Agency, State Fire Service, and the Police.
