Nigeria’s new number one Goalkeeper, Stanley Nwabali may still be available for selection for the quarter-final clash with Angola if he passes a late fitness test on Wednesday.

The 27 year-old was stretched off during the round of 16 clash with Cameron, and was confirmed to have suffered a mild ligament injury.

According to team medics, Nwabali is not totally ruled out of the Quarter final duel, as the medical team have been sweating on his fitness to ensure he is fit for the next game against Angola.

“Fingers crossed. If all goes well, he might be available for selection.”

The Chippa United goal-tender has won the hearts of Nigerians with his confidence between the sticks, while keeping three clean sheets in four matches played so far in the competition.
