Governor Aiyedatiwa Appoints Oba Kiladejo as Chancellor of UNIMED, Ondo

The Governor of Ondo State, Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has approved the appointment of the Osemawe and Paramount Ruler of Ondo Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Victor Adesimbo Kiladejo, Jilo III, as the new Chancellor of the University of Medical Sciences, Ondo (UNIMED). This appointment, effective immediately, is aimed at advancing the growth and development of Nigeria’s premier medical university.

In a statement delivered through a letter from the Secretary to the State Government, Tayo Oluwatuyi, Governor Aiyedatiwa expressed his confidence in Oba Kiladejo’s leadership. “His Majesty’s extensive experience and commitment to the field of medicine are well-suited to his new role,” the governor stated. “As a trained medical practitioner, Oba Kiladejo’s dedication to medical education and excellence will inspire and motivate the entire university community.”

The governor also stressed the importance of the appointment in his message to the new Chancellor, noting, “His Majesty’s leadership and vision will undoubtedly propel UNIMED to new heights, further cementing its role as a leading institution in medical education.”
