Nigeria representatives River hoppers secured their second win at the Basketball Africa League on Sunday, with a 86-82 victory over APR of Rwanda in Sahara conference.
It was a delicately poised game at half time, with the score tied 40-40 but Hoppers were relentless and dug deep in the third Quarter, with Willy Perry who earned a top performer status posing 31 points to help his team to back to back wins in the competition.
The kingsmen who were up to a bright start in their first game after beating last year runners up AS Douanes of Senegal 77-68 will face US Monaistr in their last group game on Tuesday, 5pm Nigerian time.
With the result, Rivers Hoopers reached a new milestone at the 2024 Basketball Africa League (BAL) becoming the first Nigerian team to win consecutive games at the BAL.
