Prof. Abdul Abdu Zuru, Chairman of the Board of the Electoral Institute (BEI), highlighted the Commission’s commitment to enhancing electoral processes through technological innovations. “This training is crucial as we introduce new tools such as the improved IReV Mobile App, Form EC 40G(PU), and the deployment of BVAS and INEC-SANS. These initiatives are designed to entrench a culture of credible elections in Nigeria,” he stated.

Dr. Sa’ad Umar Idris, Director General of TEI, underscored the importance of the training in his welcome remarks, particularly in the context of the high-stakes Edo Governorship Election. “We urge all participants to be active and attentive, as this training is vital for a productive and rewarding outcome. The E-Training platforms, including the INEC E-school and E-Bot, offer flexible learning opportunities that will enhance the skills of our election personnel,” he noted.

It is expected that the trained officials will effectively pass on their knowledge to Supervisory Presiding Officers (SPOs), Presiding Officers (POs), and Assistant Presiding Officers (APOs) who will be on duty during the election.

Key officials present at the event included Dr. Binta Kasim Mohammed, Director of Training, and Dr. Ibrahim Sani, Director of Research & Documentation, among others.
