Lagos State SDG Office Launches Women’s Financial Inclusion Campaign at Olu of Iwaya Palace

The Lagos State Office of Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) on Thursday launched an initiative to advocate for women’s financial inclusion in underserved communities at the Olu of Iwaya Palace, Yaba. The campaign seek to improve access to financial resources for women, aimed to enhance their economic empowerment and promote sustainable growth within these areas.

“This initiative addresses a pressing need for inclusive financial systems that truly cater to women, especially those in remote and underserved locations,” said Dr. Oreoluwa Finnih, Special Adviser to the Governor on SDG. She emphasized that empowering women financially is key to fostering wider social and economic development in these communities.

The campaign is supported by partners such as Africa HCD Plus, Opay, and Cowrywise, who will provide resources, training, and support to bridge existing gaps in financial access. Through these collaborations, the SDG office hopes to equip women with the tools they need to thrive economically.
