MNJTF Force Commander Commends Troops’ Bravery Following Victory Against Boko Haram

The Force Commander (FC) of the Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF), Major General Ibrahim Ali, has lauded the bravery and resilience of troops stationed in Mallam Fatori following their successful defense against a Boko Haram attack. During his operational visit, General Ali commended the soldiers of Sector 3 for their “exceptional bravery” in repelling the assault and urged them to continue demonstrating courage in future encounters.

“Their bravery and resilience in the face of adversity are commendable,” General Ali said. However, he cautioned the troops against complacency, urging them to maintain their momentum. “Discipline is the essence of being a soldier,” he added, emphasizing the importance of discipline and teamwork as critical components of military success.

The Force Commander assured the troops that their operational challenges had been recognized, revealing that steps are being taken to equip them with advanced military technology to enhance their effectiveness in counter-terrorism operations in the Lake Chad region.

The visit comes after MNJTF troops launched a counterattack on September 21, 2024, inflicting substantial casualties on Boko Haram terrorists, a victory General Ali described as a significant morale booster.
