Former Nigerian lawmaker Bitrus Kaze on Saturday extended Eid al-Fitr greetings to Muslims worldwide, calling for sustained prayers, national unity and peaceful coexistence beyond the holy month of Ramadan.
In a goodwill message issued by his media aide, Kaze urged Muslim faithful to reflect deeply on the lessons of Ramadan and incorporate them into their daily lives, stressing that the Eid celebration should transcend festivities.
He emphasised the importance of harmony across religious lines, urging Nigerians to uphold values of equity, fairness and mutual respect in a diverse society.
Kaze also called for renewed patriotism, compassion and collective responsibility among citizens, noting that such principles are vital for strengthening national unity in a secular state.
He congratulated the Muslim community on the successful completion of Ramadan and encouraged continued prayers for peace, progress and stability in Nigeria.
