In a grand ceremony at the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Lagos State Command headquarters in Alausa, Ikeja, the State Commandant, Mr. Adedotun Keshinro, officially decorated a total of 411 newly promoted officers on Wednesday, October 30, 2024. Among those celebrated were 280 senior officers and 131 junior officers elevated to new ranks in recognition of their dedication and service.

The promotion included advancements across various ranks, with Assistant Commandants of Corps (ACC) promoted to Deputy Commandants of Corps (DCC), Chief Superintendents of Corps (CSC) elevated to Assistant Commandants of Corps (ACC), and several junior officers moving up the ranks.

Expressing his gratitude, Commandant Keshinro commended the Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, and the Civil Defence, Corrections, and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) for their role in facilitating these promotions. He also acknowledged Dr. Ahmed Abubakar Audi, OFR, the Commandant General of the Corps, for addressing the backlog of promotions within the NSCDC.

“This promotion exercise is a testament to our officers’ resilience and dedication. We will continue to raise the Corps’ flag high, knowing that every rank brings greater responsibility to serve our nation,” Keshinro said.

Superintendent of Corps Oluwaseun Abolurin, the Command’s Public Relations Officer and one of the newly promoted officers, remarked that the promotions are a reward for years of dedication and hard work. “This acknowledgment will motivate us to remain committed to our duties and to give our very best to the Corps and our nation,” he stated.
