With just days to go until the table tennis event at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) has honored the remarkable achievement of Nigeria’s Segun Toriola and Olufunke Oshonaike, who have both competed in seven Olympic Games.

According to the ITTF, the Olympic Games are a breeding ground for legends, but within this elite group exists an even more exclusive circle – Club 7.

This group consists of table tennis titans who have defied age, competition, and the odds to compete an impressive seven times on the grandest sporting stage.

“Seven Olympic appearances is a testament to an athlete’s unwavering dedication and exceptional talent,” the ITTF stated. “These athletes have dedicated years of relentless training, honing their skills to compete at the highest level.”

Toriola and Oshonaike are among an elite group of just five athletes who have achieved this remarkable feat.

The Paris 2024 Olympic Games are set to begin on July 26, 2024.
