Retired Major General Chris Jemitola Passes Away at IBB Golf Course

Retired Major General Chris Jemitola has reportedly passed away.

Sources confirm that he collapsed and died this morning at the IBB Golf Course.

Jemitola served as the Aide-de-Camp (ADC) to former President Olusegun Obasanjo from 2003 to 2007 while holding the rank of colonel. He later became the Director of Defence Information and served as the Defence Attaché at the Nigerian Embassy in Brazil.

In 2014, he was promoted to Major General and went on to serve as the Chief of Policy and Plans (COPP) of the Nigerian Army before his retirement.

Beyond the military, Jemitola ventured into the private sector, serving as the Senior Advisor for Military Communications at Pinnacle Communications Limited in 2019.
