UPDATE: Six Injured as Rescue Efforts Continue at Collapsed Oriwu Estate Building

Rescue operations are still ongoing at the site of the two-story building collapse inside Oriwu Estate, with an additional survivor found under the rubble.

According to Dr. Olufemi Damilola Oke-Osanyintolu, Permanent Secretary of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), three adult male victims were treated and stabilized on the spot, while three others with severe injuries have been transported to General Hospital, Marina.

“Another male has been found alive under the rubble, and extrication efforts are ongoing,” Dr. Oke-Osanyintolu confirmed, assuring that emergency teams remain on-site.

Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the collapse as concerns over building safety persist in Lagos. Further updates are expected.
