Missing member of Nigerian Association of Social Workers found in Lagos

A member of the Lagos State Chapter of the Nigerian Association of Social Workers (NASoW) declared missing on Monday in Lagos has been found.

The 63-year-old social worker was declared missing on Monday, 15th November 15, 2023 when her whereabouts could not be found.

The social worker and retiree, Mrs. Ayodele Idowu Lawal, who resides in the Igando area of Alimosho Local Government Area of Lagos State, is a member of the Nigeria Association of Social Workers (NASoW) Lagos State Chapter.

NASoW Chairperson in the state, Ms. Olubunmi Lamilisa, told the media that Lawal has been found alive.

According to Lamilisa, Lawal was involved in an accident and she is being managed in a private health facility in Shibiri in Ojo Local Government Area of the state.

Lamilisa stated further that Lawal had been moved to the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) for further medical attention.

“Mrs. Ayodele Folorunsho Lawal has been found. She was involved in an accident and is being managed in a private health facility in Shibiri, Ojo LGA of Lagos State, before being moved to LASUTH this (Tuesday) afternoon, where top management, medical social workers, and directors of nursing rallied around her, ” she said.

Calling on Nigerians to remember Lawal in their prayers for quick recovery, she said, “She is semi-conscious as she sustained various degrees of fractures. We ask for your prayers and support for her speedy recovery. We are indeed very grateful for the wide publicity and support given to the NASoW family.”
