The 34th edition of the African cup of nations came to an explosive end as host nation Côte d’Ivoire won the competition for the third time in their history.

Nigeria finished as second best and went home with the silver medal while South Africa were third and took the bronze medal.

Super Eagles captain was named Man of the competition for his impressive performance in the tournament.
