Aiyedatiwa Pledges Inclusive Governance, Unveils 2025 Policy Blueprint

Akure, Ondo State – Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State has reiterated his administration’s commitment to inclusive, transparent, and accountable governance, promising to prioritize the welfare and best interests of the people. He made the declaration during the 2025 First Working Day Prayer Meeting held at the Governor’s Office in Akure.

Reflecting on the achievements of the past year, Governor Aiyedatiwa highlighted strides in governance, including the implementation of the new minimum wage of ₦73,000, timely salary payments, and critical recruitments in education, healthcare, and the judiciary.

“Despite the challenges, God restored peace and tranquillity in our state, and for that, we are deeply grateful,” he said. “Our administration has deliberately prioritized good governance, translating to massive developments in all sectors of our economy. Ondo State remains one of the safest and most peaceful states in Nigeria, making the state an investment destination.”

The Governor also unveiled the administration’s new policy blueprint, ‘OUR EASE’, which focuses on security, urban and rural development, technological advancement, efficient healthcare, sustainable agriculture, and education.

“This blueprint will guide our efforts to accelerate the development of Ondo State. We are resolute in our commitment to making 2025 a year of economic recovery and growth,” Governor Aiyedatiwa stated, urging public servants to remain loyal and dedicated to the administration’s vision.

Public Servants Lauded

In his welcome address, the Head of Service, Bayo Philips, praised the Governor’s commitment to workers’ welfare, emphasizing milestones such as the payment of gratuities and pensions, recruitment in key sectors, and widespread promotions.

“We are fortunate to have a leader dedicated to the welfare of civil servants. Let us cultivate an attitude of gratitude and dedication as we align with the administration’s goals,” Philips said.

Call for Divine Guidance

Delivering the sermon titled “Now That We Are Here, What Should We Do?”, Senior Elder Michael Ogunbayode of the Seasons of Life Ministry emphasized the importance of divine timing and purpose.

“Those who recognize the right thing to do at the right time position themselves for divine favor and alignment with God’s will,” Ogunbayode noted, urging participants to seek God’s direction in the year ahead.

The event was attended by the Deputy Governor, Dr. Olayide Adelami, Speaker Rt. Hon. Olamide Oladiji, Chief Judge Justice Olusegun Odusola, and other dignitaries, featured prayers for Nigeria, Ondo State, and the public service.

Governor Aiyedatiwa also announced plans for a retreat for top government officials and public servants to align their efforts with the administration’s goals.

“Our people deserve the very best,” he concluded. “We must be committed to delivering responsible and responsive governance that works for everyone.”
