Support groups urged to unite and strengthen mobilisation ahead of the 2027 general elections

The City Boy Movement has pledged to deepen grassroots mobilisation and strengthen its collaboration with the Tinubu/Uba Sani Mobilisation Network 2027 and other support groups ahead of Nigeria’s next general elections.
Malam Yusuf Gidado Idris, the movement’s North-West Coordinator for Contact and Mobilisation, made the pledge at the Zone 3 Stakeholders’ Town Hall Meeting held in Kafanchan, Kaduna State and organised by the Aminiyya Movement.
Gidado said the City Boy Movement was ready to work closely with the Tinubu/Uba Sani Mobilisation Network, the Aminiyya Movement and other grassroots groups to strengthen political coordination across the region.
“Our objective is to strengthen coordination, build bridges among our structures and work collectively towards a stronger, more united movement,” he said.
He said support groups could not achieve their full potential by working in isolation, stressing that unity, collaboration and sustained grassroots engagement would be critical to political mobilisation ahead of 2027.
Gidado also acknowledged the leadership of Alhaji Rabiu Yunusa, whom he described as a mentor committed to grassroots development and political unity.
He commended Hon. Aminu Zaria, Chairman of the Aminiyya Support Group for the Tinubu/Uba Sani Mobilisation Network, for bringing political stakeholders and support groups together under one platform.
The meeting reviewed the administration of President Bola Tinubu and its Renewed Hope Agenda, with participants highlighting policies and programmes in areas including economic reform, infrastructure, agriculture, education, healthcare and job creation.
Participants also discussed the Kaduna State government under Governor Uba Sani, citing its focus on inclusive governance, rural development, infrastructure, education, healthcare and community engagement.
Gidado urged political leaders, youth and women’s groups, as well as community representatives, to intensify mobilisation at the grassroots.
“Together, we will strengthen the grassroots, strengthen our collaboration and strengthen the movement,” he said.
The town hall brought together political leaders, stakeholders and representatives of support groups operating under the Tinubu/Uba Sani Mobilisation Network 2027.
