North-West coordinator says consultations with traditional, religious and party leaders are aimed at strengthening political structures across communities

The City Boy Movement has intensified grassroots mobilisation in Kafanchan and other parts of Southern Kaduna as it seeks to strengthen political structures ahead of Nigeria’s 2027 general elections.

Malam Yusuf Gidado Idris, the movement’s North-West Coordinator for Contact and Mobilisation, said the outreach was aimed at deepening engagement with traditional institutions, religious leaders and party structures at the community level.

During the visit to Jema’a Local Government Area, Gidado held consultations with the Emir of Jema’a, Alhaji (Dr.) Muhammad Isa Muhammad II, as well as other traditional and religious leaders and officials of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

He said the engagements went beyond attending a political programme and were intended to strengthen the structures needed for the movement’s activities ahead of the 2027 elections.

“2027 will be built ward by ward and community by community,” Gidado said.

“We will continue bringing traditional institutions, religious leaders, party structures, support groups, youth and women together to strengthen our movement and deepen support for the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the developmental leadership of Governor Uba Sani.”

Gidado said the movement was expanding its structures and strengthening connections with grassroots communities across the North-West zone.

He said the mobilisation drive was intended to build support for the policies and programmes of President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and the development initiatives of Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani.

The coordinator urged political stakeholders and community groups to sustain unity and collaboration as the movement expands its grassroots network.

The visit brought together traditional and religious leaders, party officials and community representatives in Jema’a Local Government Area.
